LeBron James wants to switch from #23 to #6

YES: 20%    NO: 80%   (vote now)

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that LeBron James has filed an application to switch his jersey number from 23 to No. 6 for the 2010-11 season.

James first brought up the idea in November, saying he wanted to give up No. 23 out of respect to his hero, Michael Jordan. At that time he said he was "50/50" on switching to No. 6, his Olympic number and the day of the month his first son was born. That now seems to be 100 percent.

"I've done it," James said. "I already sent it in. I'm going to be No. 6."

Send Plaxico to Jail?

YES: 70%    NO: 30%   (vote now)

New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress faces a minimum of 3½ years jail time if convicted of criminal handgun possession stemming from an incident in which he accidentally shot himself in the leg at a New York City nightclub.

Fortunately for the Super Bowl hero, the injury was not serious.  Unfortunately, Burress did not have a permit to carry the weapon, and the city of New York has stringent gun control laws.  Mayor Michael Bloomberg has advocated prosecuting him to the fullest extent of the law.

Revoke the Detroit Lions right to host Thanksgiving Game!

YES: 50%    NO: 50%   (vote now)

In this year's "Thanksgiving Classic," the Tennessee Titans destroyed the Detroit Lions 47-10.  The Lions are consistently one of the worst teams in football, yet they are awarded the honor of hosting a game every year on Thanksgiving.

Yes, it's a tradition, but it's about time that this particular tradition came to an end.  Let's get some better matchups for the big Thanksgiving game, and not subject a national audience to the Detroit Lions on the day we are supposed to be giving thanks.

Are we agreed?

Should CC Sabathia become a Yankee?

YES: 63%    NO: 37%   (vote now)

Reinstate Pacman Jones to the NFL?

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Pacman Jones has been reinstated by the NFL after being suspended from football since October 16th.  Jones has been arrested six times and has been involved in 13 incidents with police since he entered the league in 2005.  Was the NFL right to lift his suspension?

Should the Mets have fired Willie Randolph?

YES: 50%    NO: 50%   (vote now)

The Mets fired manager Willie Randolph early Tuesday morning after months of speculation that his job was on the line. A pre-season favorite to do well this year, the Mets have had a disappointing season so far, and their collapse at the end of last season is still fresh in the minds of many fans.
