THE ISSUE

Governor Sarah Palin

Governor Sarah Palin has been highly visible since the end of the 2008 election, holding news conferences and conducting interviews with reporters more often than she did as a candidate.  Some believe that she is seeking to stay in the national spotlight, and will emerge as the standard bearer for the Republican Party.  Others believe the party should go in another direction.  Is she the party's future?

Sarah Palin isn't just the future of the Republican Party, she's the present.  Anti-intellectual, anti-civil rights, racist and xenophobic, pandering to the religious, giving welfare only to the wealthy, and destroying America's standing around the world.

She's no different than George W. Bush.

Thank God the majority of Americans rejected her on Election Day.

I'm a Republican and I say no!  Republicans are supposed to be the serious party, the party of strong national defense and personal responsibility.  W has transformed the party into the party of free spending, cronyism, and vacuousness.  Sarah Palin fits right into W's Republican Party.  She doesn't have a worldview, doesn't have a plan for the country, and can't even speak intelligently about the major issues of the day.  But she can give a great speech about how she's a real American!  I'm a real American too!  Am I qualified to be Vice President?

Shape up, Republicans!  Don't make me become a Libertarian!
