There are plenty of sites out there dedicated to spreading rumor, innuendo, or making ridiculous straw-man arguments.  Please use this site to spread reason, facts, and informed opinion.

Mr Issues respects differing opinions.

Not everyone here will share the same opinion.  That's a good thing.  Let's encourage it.

Mr Issues relies upon the community to decide which arguments and issues are good and which are bad.

He doesn't decide which get raised to the top of the list.  You do, by voting.  So vote, dammit.

Mr Issues say relax.

At the end of the day, it's just a stupid website.  Don't interpret an argument that you disagree with as a personal attack.  And don't go off on someone, even if they do get a bit personal.  Just vote them down.

Mr Issues encourages you to change your vote.

By logging in, you can always see what you have voted on a particular issue.  Feel free to change your mind as you listen to arguments and as situations develop.

Mr Issues encourages you to change others' votes.

Well, of course you can't actually go in and change others' votes, that would be cheating.  But if you can make a convincing enough argument, perhaps you can get a few people to change their vote.  And wouldn't that make it all worthwhile?
